TRANS TAURUS MOUNTAIN BIKE STAGE RACES
Antalya, one of the important destinations of cycling tourism, will host the Trans Taurus Mountain Bike Stage Races on April 10-13.
Kemer district of Antalya will bring together mountain, gravel and e-bike enthusiasts. In the organization, which will be held for the third time this year with the slogan 'The Heart of Cycling Beats in Kemer', athletes will pedal in the unique nature of the Taurus Mountains. The races in 4 days and 4 stages will take place on a 200-kilometer track. 140 athletes from Turkey, Russia, Colombia, Belarus and Poland will participate in the Trans Taurus Mountain Bike Stage Races.
MOUNTAIN BIKE IS COMING TO THE CITY
The start of the organization will be given from Kemer city center on Thursday, April 10. In the 20-kilometer ranking stage, athletes will pedal along the unique coast of Kemer, starting from Olbia Park. Athletes passing through the city center, forest, Ayışığı Bay and Kemer Marina will bring the excitement of cycling to the city.
CLIMBING FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN COAST TO THE TAURUS MOUNTAINS
On the second day of the race, Kuzdere Kesme Boğazı Canyon, Gedelme, Ovacık, Gölcük Plateaus will be passed respectively and the nomads will be visited in the organization that will start from Kemer center. On the second day, athletes will cover 60 kilometers with the scenery of the Taurus Mountains.
FROM GEDELME PLATEAU TO CEDAR FORESTS
On the third day, cyclists will start the race from Gedelme Plateau and pass through Ovacık, Örencik, Yarbaşçandır, Kökez, Katranbaşı and Söğütcuması plateaus. Athletes reaching Ovacık Plateau through cedar forests will compete fiercely in the 60-kilometer stage.
FINISH WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY TAHTALI MOUNTAIN VIEW
On the last day of the race, on Sunday, April 13, cyclists will start from Ovacık Plateau. Athletes passing through Çukur Yayla, Üçoluk and Belenyayla, accompanied by the uniquely beautiful Tahtalı Mountain view of Kemer, will reach the finish line after 60 kilometers in Kuzdere.

ÖMER NİZAM: ANTALYA IS A DESTINATION THAT OFFERS UNIQUE ROUTES FOR MOUNTAIN AND GRAVEL CYCLISTS
Trans Taurus Stage Races Coordinator Ömer Nizam stated that Antalya is among the leading centers of bicycle tourism in the world with its nature and geographical features. Ömer Nizam said, "While Antalya's coastline roads offer a unique route for road cyclists with the Mediterranean view, it is a unique destination for mountain and gravel cyclists with its mountain and plateau roads in the Taurus Mountains behind it. Our Trans Taurus event, which we held for the first time in 2016 in order to show the mountain bike potential of Antalya to the whole world, is the only one-stage bicycle race in Turkey. The event, which will be held in 4 separate stages of 200 kilometers in the Kemer region, highlights the bicycle potential of the region and makes an important contribution to the promotion of our country.
