Hollywood's renowned actor and director Steve Buscemi came to Istanbul for a new film project. Buscemi, who gained worldwide fame with productions such as Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, and Boardwalk Empire, experienced a series of events in Istanbul with his girlfriend Karen Ho.
The famous actor, who preferred the Vakko Hotel Sumahan Bosphorus on the Bosphorus for his accommodation, was hosted in the hotel's garden-front, two-story suite “Alya”. The 70-square-meter suite also featured a steam bath, and before the stay, the room was prepared with anti-allergic steam cleaning and equipped with special anti-allergic pillows. Buscemi also received a Vakko Royal Bath therapy in the hotel's Turkish bath.
During their visit to Istanbul, the couple also indulged in gastronomic experiences, having breakfast at Le Specialita and then drinking their coffee with a Bosphorus view. Afterwards, Buscemi and Ho embarked on a Bosphorus tour with a private boat allocated to them, discovering Istanbul's historical texture from the sea.
The famous actor and director stated that they were impressed by Istanbul's Bosphorus line, cultural richness, and hospitality. This visit not only highlighted Istanbul as an attractive city for international cinema projects but also emphasized the tourism value added to the city by luxury accommodation and experiences.
