Following the announcement by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu that they had recommended banning the use of portable charging devices (power banks) during flights, Pegasus Airlines prohibited the use of power banks.

A plane operating the Istanbul-Seoul flight returned to Istanbul Airport after one of the passengers dropped a portable charging device between the seats. Following the incident, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that airline companies had been advised to ban the use of power banks during flights to prevent a similar risk. Uraloğlu stated, "To prevent a similar risk from occurring in our country, we have advised our airline operators, through our Directorate General of Civil Aviation, to ban the use of portable charging devices during flights." Following this, Pegasus Airlines announced that it had banned the use of power banks. As part of the ban, passengers will not be able to use the portable charging devices they bring with them during the flight.
