Pegasus Airlines is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the start of its scheduled flights. The airline company, which said 'hello' to the sector in 2005 with a fleet of 14 aircraft, now operates flights to 151 destinations in 54 countries with a fleet of 119 aircraft.

The company, which started its operations with only 14 aircraft and continues with 119 aircraft today, plans to add 9 new aircraft to its fleet by the end of the year. The airline company, which included its 100th aircraft in its fleet in the 100th anniversary of the Republic, demonstrated its strong growth strategy for the coming period with the historic agreement it signed with Boeing at the end of 2024 for the purchase of 200 new MAX-10 aircraft, 100 of which are firm and 100 of which are optional. Pegasus' fleet, which focuses on expanding its flight network throughout Europe, MENA, Central Asia and Turkey, is currently one of the youngest fleets in the world with an average age of 4.7 years. The company was selected as 'The Airline with the 2nd Youngest Fleet in the World' among companies with more than 100 aircraft in 2025.

FLIGHTS TO 151 DESTINATIONS IN 54 COUNTRIES

Pegasus Airlines, which added new routes to its flight network in 2024 and the first half of this year, currently operates flights to a total of 151 destinations, 114 international and 37 domestic, in 54 countries including Turkey. Flights to new international destinations such as Edinburgh, Seville, Bremen, Dublin, Zagreb, Chisinau, Graz, Bristol, Cluj-Napoca and Algiers; flights from Trabzon to Ercan Airport in TRNC, from Ankara to Dubai and Baku, and from Antalya and Bodrum to new international destinations draw attention.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ATTACK

Pegasus, which defines itself as a 'Digital Airline', sees digitalisation not only as a technological transformation, but as a holistic journey in which it redesigns its way of working. With the goal of being one of the top three airlines that use technology most effectively, Pegasus has implemented more than 30 technology projects in the fields of efficiency, customer experience and innovation in the last two years in line with this vision. In order to strengthen its claim in the field of digitalisation and technology on a global scale, the company established Pegasus Innovation Lab in Silicon Valley at the end of 2023, and aims to capture innovations on site and at an early stage and transform them into value-creating applications. In this context, it is planned to conduct academic research and develop new generation solutions in areas such as data-oriented innovation, customer analytics and operational optimisation for the aviation industry. The first product of Pegasus Innovation Lab, the 'artificial intelligence-supported captain announcement' application, was launched in September 2024. With this innovation, the guest experience is taken to a new dimension thanks to personalised announcements made in different languages with the cloned captain's voice, with the information updated before the flight.

ONE OF THE AIRLINES WITH THE LOWEST CARBON EMISSIONS

Sustainability is one of the most important agenda items of the aviation industry. Supporting IATA's 2050 net zero target, Pegasus reached the lowest carbon emission level in its history in 2024, with only 58.3 grams of CO₂ per passenger per kilometre. With this achievement, Pegasus, one of the airlines with the lowest emission intensity in the aviation industry, continues to expand its fleet of fuel-efficient, new generation aircraft with higher seat capacity. In addition, with the slogan 'Our Route is a Sustainable Future', it is carrying out studies aimed at ensuring gender equality and setting an example for its sector.
