FRANCIA, DIVIETO DI FUMO SU TUTTE LE SPIAGGE IN DISCUSSIONE
France is preparing to expand its smoking ban to include beaches, with the goal of protecting public health. Once the new regulation comes into effect, smoking will be prohibited on all beaches across the country.
There are plans to extend the "smoke-free beach" policy, which was previously implemented in certain regions, nationwide. The city of Cagnes-sur-Mer, a pioneer in this area, introduced a smoking ban in some coastal areas in 2018 and declared all its beaches smoke-free areas as of 2023.
With the enactment of the new law, it is anticipated that this practice will become standard throughout France. The law is considered among the steps taken to reduce environmental impacts and protect public health.
