NUOVA VETTA NEL TURISMO: LA TURCHIA È AL 4° POSTO NEL MONDO
According to the 2025 World Tourism Barometer published by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), Türkiye surpassed Italy to rank 4th in the world in terms of the number of tourists attracted, with 56.7 million foreign visitors in 2024. The total number of visitors to Türkiye was recorded as 62.3 million.
According to UN Tourism data, the top five countries attracting the most visitors in tourism are France, Spain, the United States, Türkiye, and Italy, respectively.
Minister Ersoy: "By rising from fifth to fourth place, we have once again confirmed our strength in tourism."
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made the following statements in his assessment of Türkiye's rising position:
A TOTAL OF 62.3 MILLION VISITORS IN 2024
"With the data from the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Türkiye's position in world tourism has been further strengthened. With 56.7 million foreign visitors, we have risen from fifth to fourth place, once again confirming our success in this field. Our total number of visitors in 2024 was 62.3 million," he said.
Minister Ersoy emphasized that this success is based on a long-term strategic vision and continued:
"We are working with determination to promote our historical heritage, cultural richness, and natural beauties to the world in the most accurate way. With our strong infrastructure, sustainable tourism policies, and product diversity spread over four seasons, Türkiye is now not just a country to be watched, but an exemplary tourism country."
The UN Tourism report reveals that Türkiye has strengthened its leadership in tourism not only regionally but also globally.
