Hotels.com's annual trend report, Unpack '25, revealed that interest in the Lycian Way is on the rise again this spring. According to the report data, 63% of travelers prefer less crowded, lesser-known routes. In line with these preferences, search data between February 28 - March 19, 2025 and March 20 - April 8, 2025 showed a 45% increase in searches for Muğla and a 15% increase for Antalya.

Located in southwestern Turkey, stretching from Fethiye to Antalya and covering a route of approximately 540 kilometers, the Lycian Way continues to be one of the best examples of a nature and culture-based tourism approach that bears the traces of ancient civilizations. Its potential in terms of cultural heritage and hiking tourism is one of the main reasons why the Lycian Way stands out in the spring months.

Tourism professionals evaluate this increased interest not only as a seasonal mobility but also as a strategic opportunity in terms of destination branding. It is expected that the route, which combines cultural heritage, nature walks and sustainable travel elements, will be supported by more international promotions in the coming years.
