THY's Giant 100 Billion TL Investment by 2026

Turkish Airlines (THY) is preparing to break ground for a total investment of 100 billion TL within the scope of projects to be implemented in 2026. The investment program includes many strategic projects covering air cargo, in-flight catering, technology, and maintenance infrastructure.
Groundbreaking ceremony at Istanbul Airport
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, THY Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, and many guests are expected to attend the groundbreaking ceremony to be held at Istanbul Airport on Thursday, January 8.
The world's largest air cargo terminal will be established
Within the scope of THY's 2026 investment projects, the foundation for the world's largest air cargo terminal with a capacity of 4.5 million tons will be laid. The investments also include an in-flight catering facility with a daily capacity of 500,000 people. With these projects, the aim is to further strengthen Istanbul Airport's role in global aviation and logistics.
Technology capacity will increase 5-fold
With two new data centers to be established this year, THY's existing technology capacity will be increased 5-fold. Furthermore, the implementation of Europe's largest new generation wide-body engine maintenance center is also planned.
New employment for 26,000 people
The airline aims to provide new employment for 26,000 people within the scope of its 2026 investment program. These investments are expected to make a significant contribution to both the aviation sector and the Turkish economy.
