MIXX TRAVEL announced its bankruptcy mid-season

Mixx Travel, a tour operator of Turkish origin and a significant player in the Scandinavian market, announced its bankruptcy as of July 31, 2025. In a notice published on the Danish-based company's website, it was stated that all of the company's operations have ceased.

Mixx Travel transported thousands of tourists from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway to destinations such as Alanya, Side, Antalya, Kemer, Kuşadası, and Çeşme, with Alanya being the primary destination. The company's bankruptcy caused a significant stir in the tourism sector as it occurred during the peak season.

Concern Prevails in Alanya

Tourism representatives in Alanya expressed their great sadness at the development, stating that this situation could have a serious impact on the district. Sector professionals, drawing attention to potential losses in the Scandinavian market, emphasized that urgent steps must be taken to ensure guests are not adversely affected.

Claim of 1 Million Euro Debt

Mixx Travel's bankruptcy is being discussed not only for its operational but also its financial impacts. According to information obtained, the company reportedly owes approximately 1 million euros to hotels in Alanya since last year, with the total debt amounting to 1.5 million euros.

The official statement on the company's website stated that customers who had purchased travel can obtain information regarding travel guarantees and potential compensation claims by contacting Kammarkollegiet in Sweden or the Consumer and Competition Authority (KKV) in Finland.

It was reported that for details regarding the bankruptcy process, the Malmö Court (Malmö tingsrätt) in Sweden should be monitored.
