The Ministry reiterated that the academic year started on September 9, 2024, and will end on June 20, 2025, as planned.
School holiday dates, which are seen as the official start of the summer season for the tourism sector, are decisive in terms of both domestic tourism mobility and the season planning of businesses. For this reason, speculative news that the summer holiday would be brought forward caused short-term uncertainty in the sector.
