SALOMON ÇEŞME MARATHON HAS ENDED

Ahmet Bayram, with a time of 2:45:17.10 in the men's category, and Iranian athlete Aylar Ghazvini, with a time of 3:08:03:61 in the women's category, took the top spots at the Salomon Çeşme Marathon, amidst the natural beauties of Çeşme, Ilıca, and Alaçatı.

The Salomon Çeşme Marathon, organized with the slogan "The Sound of the Sea, the Rhythm of the Steps: Run in Çeşme," took place on 42K, 21K, and 10K tracks. The race, sponsored by Salomon and organized by Argeus Travel & Events, was attended by 2,606 athletes from 29 countries.

The organization, hosted by the Çeşme Governorship and Çeşme Municipality, was held with the contributions of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Turkish Athletics Federation, the İzmir Governorship, and sponsored by Garmin, Medicana Health Group, and Pınar Protein, with Züber, Take34, and PT Academy providing Service/Product sponsorship, and in social responsibility partnership with Adım Adım.

In the organization, the 42K and 21K tracks started from Çeşme Cumhuriyet Square, and the 10K track started from Alaçatı. The starts were given by Çeşme Governor Mehmet Maraşlı, District Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant Yavuz Yaşar, District Police Chief Murat Dokumacı, Çeşme Municipality Council Members Cengiz Şenaylar and Süleyman Tonga, Youth and Sports District Director Nuri Büyükateş, Salomon Turkey General Manager Atilla Kuduoğlu, and Argeus Travel & Events Founding Partner Aydın Ayhan Güney.

2,606 ATHLETES FROM 29 COUNTRIES

The Salomon Çeşme Marathon was run with the participation of 2,606 athletes from 29 countries. In addition to Turkey, athletes from Greece, Tajikistan, Switzerland, USA, Russia, Netherlands, Israel, Ethiopia, Mexico, United Kingdom, Morocco, Iran, Canada, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Slovenia, Indonesia, Albania, Bulgaria, France, Syria, Serbia, India, Italy, Romania, Malaysia and TRNC participated in the organization.

89 athletes competed in the 42K track, 517 in the 21K track, and 2,000 in the 10K track. There were 1,012 female and 1,594 male runners on the tracks.

DONATION TO NGOS WITH ‘ADIM ADIM’

The Salomon Çeşme Marathon also hosted an important project. Within the scope of the social responsibility project carried out with Adım Adım, donations were collected by runners for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). It is aimed that the amount collected will reach 10 million TL by Monday, May 26, the deadline for the donation campaign.

WINNERS IN 42K

Ahmet Bayram, who achieved a time of 2:45:17.10 in the men's 42K track of the Salomon Çeşme Marathon, took the top spot on the podium. French athlete François Xavier Martin came in second with a time of 2:53:30.50, and Suat Karoğlu came in third with a time of 2:53:47.69.

In the women's category, Iranian athlete Aylar Ghazvini came in first with a time of 3:08:03:61, Greek athlete Maria Moniodi came in second with a time of 3:36:44.19, and Anna Galatoula came in third with a time of 3:49:23.01.

WINNERS IN 21K

In the men's category, Kerem Baybatur came in first with a time of 1:18:16.37, Fatih Can came in second with a time of 1:19:19.50, and Taylan Dağ came in third with a time of 1:20:47.09.

In the women's category, İpek Öztosun Bezdan came in first with a time of 1:32:58.53, Gülşen Çerçi came in second with a time of 1:37:34.43, and Yasemin Hamamcı came in third with a time of 1:38:24.90.

WINNERS IN 10K

In the men's category, Ercan Geleş came in first with a time of 0:32:44.74, Mehmet Aydıngör came in second with a time of 0:35:13.60, and Eren Moray came in third with a time of 0:35:54.64.

Salomon Turkey athlete Aysel Yalaç Dolay, who achieved a time of 0:40:22.38 in the women's category, took the top spot on the podium. Derya Köse came in second with a time of 0:41:10.12, and Özlem Işık came in third with a time of 0:41:40.04.

AWARDS WERE GIVEN

After the Salomon Çeşme Marathon, awards were given to the athletes who ranked. The ceremony held in Çeşme Cumhuriyet Square was attended by; Çeşme Governor Mehmet Maraşlı, Çeşme Deputy Mayor Emre Can Durmaz, District Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant Yavuz Yaşar, District Police Chief Murat Dokumacı, Çeşme Municipality Council Members Cengiz Şenaylar, İzmir Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate Sports Activities Branch Manager Enver Yılmaz, Youth and Sports District Director Nuri Büyükateş, Salomon Turkey General Manager Atilla Kuduoğlu, Argeus Travel & Events Founding Partner Aydın Ayhan Güney.

On the other hand, Çeşme Governor Mehmet Maraşlı presented an award to visually impaired athlete Nurdan Kılıçlı and her companion Vedat Ekiz, who competed in the 10K in the Paralympic category.
