The total number of tourists who came to Antalya in 3 months was 855,429, a 15% decrease compared to the previous year. While the most tourists came to Antalya from Germany in the 3-month period, there was a decrease in the number of foreign tourists except for Poland.

The total number of tourists who came to the tourism city of Antalya in 3 months was 855,429, a 15% decrease. 694,254 of the 855,000 tourists were foreign, and 161,175 were citizen visitors (Turks living abroad). In the same period last year, 1 million 5 thousand people came to Antalya. In Antalya, where the number of foreign tourists exceeded 858 thousand in the 3-month period last year, the rate of decrease in the number of foreign tourists in the January-March period this year was 20 percent. The number of citizen visitors, which was 147 thousand in the January-March period last year, increased by 9 percent this year. In March 2025, 365,784 tourists came to the city, a 27.7% decrease compared to the same period last year. 321,593 of these were foreign, and 44,191 were citizen visitors. The number of tourists who came to Antalya in March last year was 506 thousand.

DECREASE IN THE NUMBER OF FOREIGN TOURISTS

There was a decrease of 29.6 percent in terms of the number of foreign tourists. While Germany was the country that sent the most tourists in March with 98 thousand people, a 46% decrease compared to March last year was noteworthy. In second place, there was a 15% decrease among the British with 58,564 people. Russians ranked third with 58,193 people and decreased by 11 percent. Iranians ranked fourth with 15,511 people in March due to the Nevruz Holiday period, and there was a 37% decrease. More than 14,000 tourists came from fifth-placed Poland, with a decrease of nearly 1%.

GERMANS ARE IN FIRST PLACE

When looking at the countries from which foreign tourists visiting Antalya came in the 3-month period, Germans took the first place. While a total of 187,627 tourists came from Germany, the share of German tourists in the distribution by nationality was 27 percent. In the same period last year, there was a 32% decrease in the number of German tourists, which exceeded 279 thousand.

RUSSIANS DECREASED BY 20 PERCENT

The second country that sent the most tourists in the first three months of this year was the Russian Federation. 137,166 people came to Antalya from Russia. According to the distribution of Russian tourists by nationality, Russians constituted 20% of the total number of tourists. There was a 20% decrease in the number of Russian tourists.

ONLY INCREASE IN POLAND

British tourists rank third. While 114,096 British tourists came, their share in the total exceeded 16 percent. The rate of decrease in the number of British tourists was 8.5 percent. Poland, which exceeded the 1 million mark in Antalya last year and rose to become one of the 4 largest markets, was the only country that experienced an increase in the January-March period. While 37,487 people came from Poland in three months, the total increase rate exceeded 7 percent.

IRANIANS DECREASED BY 40 PERCENT

There was a serious decrease in Antalya this year, where Iranians showed intense demand in March due to the Nevruz Holiday. While the total number of Iranian tourists in the three-month period exceeded 30 thousand last year, it remained at 18 thousand in the same period this year, with a 40% decrease.
