TUROYD'S NEW ERA: TAYFUN SANCAR BECOMES PRESIDENT
The Turkish Association of Tourism and Hotel Managers (TUROYD) held its 5th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting on Saturday, April 12 at Dedeman Bostancı Hotel. As a result of the elections, the new Board of Directors of TUROYD was determined. Tayfun Sancar was elected as the Chairman, while Birol Yalçın was appointed as the Vice Chairman.
New Management Staff Determined
Aydın Tokbaş was elected as the Secretary General, and Barış Kahraman as the Treasurer.
Salih Kızılcık was appointed as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, while Yunus Durmaz and Orhan Genceli were elected as principal members.
New Appointments in Regional Structuring
In the first meeting held after the general assembly, TUROYD's 10 separate regional executive boards were restructured. Halil Duru (Foreign Countries), Tuncay Beyaz (Eastern Black Sea), Murat Toktaş (Western Black Sea), Mehmet Yüce (Marmara), Ahmet Güner Güney (Aegean), Murat Batıhan (Western Mediterranean), Serdar Küpeli (Eastern Mediterranean), Gökhan Esengil (Central Anatolia), Ali Güney (Eastern Anatolia) and Mehmet Alataş (Southeastern Anatolia) were appointed as the heads of these boards that will operate throughout Turkey and abroad.
Loyalty Was Not Forgotten
The TUROYD management gave "Honorary Membership" to the spouses of the deceased members Tanay Adıgüzel, Nadir Kadakal, Turgay Solmaz, Sebahattin Güney, Serhan Öz and Zeki Tunç Dortunç in order to keep their memories alive. The certificates were presented by Chairman Tayfun Sancar at the gala night.

At the traditional gala dinner, ISTTA President Murtaza Kalender and TÜGEV, HotelRunner, Dedeman Hotels and Anemon Hotels, who supported TUROYD, were thanked.
