According to SSI data, the daily earnings of employees in the tourism sector increased by 37% year-on-year to TRY 2026 in January 2025. Male employees earned an average of TRY 2092, while this figure was TRY 1934 for female employees.

According to the news compiled by Turizmdatabank, the highest daily earnings in the sector belonged to airline employees with TRY 4567, while this figure was recorded as TRY 1501 in the accommodation sector. The total number of employees in the tourism sector was determined as 1.33 million, of which 788 thousand were male and 548 thousand were female employees.

Across Turkey, the total number of employees as of January 2025 was 16.3 million, while the average daily earnings were calculated as TRY 1533. Of the employees across the country, 10.7 million were men and 5.6 million were women.
