Visually impaired British tourist paraglides in Turkiye
Paul Goodwen (47), a visually impaired British tourist, flew with a tandem paraglide from Babadağ in Fethiye, Muğla.
Visually impaired British tourist Paul Goodwen went up to the Babadağ runway at an altitude of 1700 meters with his family in the morning to do a tandem paraglide (double) in Fethiye, where he came for the first time. Goodwen, who flew with pilot Osman Nihat Cengiz for about 45 minutes, landed on Belcekız Beach. Goodwen sang songs throughout the flight. Speaking after the flight, Goodwen said, "I was fascinated by Fethiye, where I came for the first time. Despite not being able to see, I felt free with this experience. Being in the sky gave me an indescribable happiness." On the other hand, Goodwen's daughters also shared this experience with their father by making tandem flights from Babadağ.
