AKROPOLIS CLOSED TO VISITS DUE TO 'EXCESSIVE HEAT'
The Acropolis Temple in Athens, the capital of Greece, has been closed to visitors due to extreme hot weather.
The Greek Ministry of Culture has ordered the partial closure of the Acropolis Temple to protect visitors due to the heat wave. In a statement made by the Ministry, it was noted that the area will be closed between 13:00-17:00 local time ‘for the safety of employees and visitors due to high temperatures’.
