A NEW PEAK IN TOURISM: TÜRKİYE IS NOW 4TH IN THE WORLD

According to the 2025 World Tourism Barometer published by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), Türkiye rose to 4th place in the ranking of countries attracting the most tourists in the world in 2024 with 56.7 million foreign visitors, surpassing Italy. Türkiye's total number of visitors was recorded as 62.3 million.

According to UN Tourism data, the top five countries attracting the most visitors in tourism were France, Spain, the United States, Türkiye, and Italy, respectively.

Minister Ersoy: "We have once again confirmed our strength in tourism by rising from fifth to fourth place."

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy made the following statements in his assessment of Türkiye's rising position:

A TOTAL OF 62.3 MILLION VISITORS IN 2024

"With the data of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Türkiye's place in world tourism has been further strengthened. We have once again confirmed our success in this field by rising from fifth to fourth place with 56.7 million foreign visitors. In 2024, our total number of visitors was 62.3 million," he said.

Minister Ersoy emphasized that this success is based on a long-term strategic vision and continued as follows:
"We are working with determination to promote our historical heritage, cultural richness, and natural beauties to the world in the most accurate way. With our strong infrastructure, sustainable tourism policies, and product diversity spread over four seasons, Türkiye is now not only a country to be watched but also an exemplary tourism country."

The UN Tourism report reveals that Türkiye has strengthened its leadership in tourism not only regionally but also globally.
