Governor Fidan: 2025 will be a record year for tourism in Cappadocia
Nevşehir Governor Ali Fidan said, "We see that the number of tourists in the Cappadocia region, one of the most important tourism centers of our country, has increased from 310 thousand in the first 2 months of last year to 340 thousand in the first 2 months of this year. This shows an increase of approximately 10 percent. When we look at the reservations in general in 2025, we expect it to be a record year for the tourism sector."
A holiday celebration program was organized in the city due to Ramadan Bayram. Governor Ali Fidan and city protocol attended the program held at Vilayetler Evi. Governor Fidan, who mentioned the importance of the region for tourism, said, “We see that the number of tourists in the Cappadocia region, one of the most important tourism centers of our country, has increased from 310 thousand in the first 2 months of last year to 340 thousand in the first 2 months of this year. This shows an increase of approximately 10 percent. When we look at the year-round reservations in general in 2025, we hope that this year will be a very successful and very productive record year in terms of accommodation, balloons, and tourism activities for the tourism sector. We have made our preparations and are working accordingly. The sector is also very hopeful in this sense. I estimate and hope that this increase will increase even more after the holiday, with the arrival of the spring season and later in the year, and that we will have a successful year in terms of tourism. We want it to be like this. We also made preparations accordingly. I believe that 2025 will be a very successful year for Cappadocia tourism and all components of the sector,” he said.
