A NEW AIR BRIDGE ESTABLISHED BETWEEN ÇUKUROVA AND BAKU

Direct flights from Çukurova International Airport (COV) to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, started on June 15.

Çukurova International Airport (COV) has added another destination to its international flight network. Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has started direct flights from Çukurova International Airport to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, as of June 15. Flights will take place twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

Çukurova International Airport (COV) diversifies the possibility of traveling from Çukurova to different parts of the world with new routes. Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), one of COV's business partners, started international flights from Çukurova International Airport to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, for the first time as of June 15.

The Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane, which made its first flight from Baku to Çukurova, landed at Çukurova International Airport on June 15.

The first flight was greeted with a ceremony. The plane from Azerbaijan was greeted with a water salute on the runway. Three Follow Me vehicles accompanied the plane along the apron, ensuring that the plane safely approached the bridge.

At the ceremony, the cabin crew and officials of the plane were greeted with flowers. Passengers were greeted by hostesses in local costumes with local treats at the bridge gate. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held with the prepared celebration cake.

With the newly launched flights, it is expected to contribute to the tourism and trade potential of the Çukurova region, and also to provide the people of the region with easier and more comfortable access to Azerbaijan.

With the start of direct flights to England (London), Macedonia (Skopje) and Montenegro (Podgorica) as of the summer season, Amsterdam flights from Çukurova International Airport will start on June 29, and Albania Tirana flights will start on June 30.

On international routes, there are direct flights to 19 different international destinations in 13 countries, including Germany (Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hannover, Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich), Azerbaijan (Baku), Netherlands (Amsterdam), England (London), Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (Nicosia), Lebanon (Beirut), Macedonia (Skopje), Montenegro (Podgorica), Albania (Tirana), Saudi Arabia (Medina), Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh), United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and Russia (Moscow).

Çukurova International Airport, built to serve the entire region, especially Mersin, Adana, Osmaniye, Hatay and Niğde, and operated by KZV Airports, continues to play an important locomotive role in the development of the region.
