AYS HOTELS RECEIVES SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FROM MARRIOTT
Serving under AYS Otelcilik, Orientbank Hotel Istanbul Autograph Collection and Orient Occident Hotel Istanbul Autograph Collection, were awarded the "Special Achievement" award within the scope of Marriott International's 2024 Shining Stars Awards. This special award, given for the first time in Marriott history, certified the strong position of both hotels within the global hotel chain.
Maintaining Leadership with High Guest Satisfaction
As of 2025, both hotels maintain their 1st and 2nd positions under the Marriott Autograph Collection brand in YTD (Year-To-Date) scores. The results obtained in the evaluations made in line with criteria such as guest recommendability (Intent to Recommend) and elite member satisfaction (Elite Appreciation) once again reveal the consistent success of the hotels.
Managed by AYS Academia and awarded by Marriott in different categories every year since they opened, the hotels added a new one to their achievements with the "Special Achievement" award in 2024.
Global Brand Value Born From Historical Buildings
Located in Sirkeci, in the heart of the Historical Peninsula, the hotels stand out not only with their high service quality but also with their architectural values.
Orientbank Hotel Istanbul Autograph Collection is located in the historic Germanya Han building, built between 1888 and 1907 by Prussian Architect August Jasmund, who served the Ottoman palace. The hotel attracted attention by receiving awards in three different categories at Marriott's Shining Stars Awards in 2023: Elite Appreciation Award, Overall Staff Service Excellence Award for Premium Hotels (EMEA) and Operational Excellence Award – Franchise Premium Hotels (EMEA).
Orient Occident Hotel Istanbul Autograph Collection, which opened in 2024, is located in the historical Basiret Han building designed by architect Stephan Hamamcıyan. As of 2024, the hotel ranked first in its category among 10 thousand hotels in the evaluations made among all Marriott brands.
