It was reported that 282 passengers were evacuated after the engine of the plane, which was about to take off from Orlando International Airport in Florida, USA, caught fire.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Delta Airlines made a statement regarding the engine fire of the 'Airbus A330' model aircraft. The statement noted that one of the two engines of the plane, carrying 282 passengers, caught fire shortly after it left the gate from Orlando International Airport for a flight to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia.

The statement said that the airport's first aid and fire teams intervened in the fire after the engine caught fire from the exhaust pipe, and that 282 passengers were evacuated via emergency slides. The FAA has launched an investigation into the incident, in which there were no deaths or injuries.
