TAV Airports RANKED AMONG THE BEST IN THE WORLD
Almaty, Ankara Esenboğa, Batumi, Medina, İzmir, Riga, Tbilisi and Skopje airports, operated by TAV Airports, were among the best in the World Airport Awards organized by Skytrax and determined by passenger votes. Ankara Esenboğa entered the top 100 airports, rising 13 places.
Eight airports operated by TAV Airports were named among the best in the Skytrax World Airport Awards. The awards were announced at the Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) held in Madrid, the capital of Spain. The Passenger Terminal Expo brought together more than two thousand industry representatives from more than 120 countries.
Ankara Esenboğa Airport rose 13 places this year and entered the top 100 airports in the world. Medina Airport maintained its 50th place.
Kazakhstan Almaty Airport became the best airport in the Central Asia/CIS region, while the international terminal opened in 2024 was chosen as the 'Best New Terminal in the World'. Almaty became the second most improved airport in the world. Medina was also chosen as the best airport in the Middle East region.
İzmir Adnan Menderes, Tbilisi, Batumi, Skopje and Riga airports were also among the top 10 airports in their regions.
TAV Airports President of Airport Operations Kürşad Koçak said, “As TAV Airports, we are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year and for 25 years we have been working to provide the best travel experience to our passengers. This year, we increased the number of airports on the Skytrax list to eight. Ankara Esenboğa entered the top 100 airports in the world for the first time. The new terminal we opened in Kazakhstan Almaty with a significant investment was chosen as the best in the world. Last year, we served a total of 107 million passengers at 15 airports we operate in eight countries. I would like to thank all my colleagues who contributed to this success.”
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are determined by an airport customer satisfaction survey conducted worldwide. The awards, which evaluate customer services and facilities at more than 500 airports, are accepted as the standard of excellence for airports worldwide.
