ANEX KAZAKHSTAN WORKSHOP TURKEY 2025: STRONG PROMOTION OF TURKISH TOURISM IN ASTANA
Anex Tour held the "Anex Kazakhstan Workshop Türkiye 2025" event in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, to increase interest in the Turkish destination and strengthen its potential in the Central Asian market. The organization, hosted by St. Regis Astana Hotel and Central Agents Hotel, took place with the participation of 44 hotels from Turkey and attracted great interest.
Approximately 700 agency representatives attended the workshop, which included distinguished travel agencies from all over Kazakhstan. "Bestseller" agencies brought from cities such as Aktau, Atyrau, Aktobe, Uralsk, Karaganda, Kostanay, Pavlodar and Shymkent with the special invitation of Anex Tour were also offered accommodation during the event. In this way, regional agencies were able to directly evaluate current products and opportunities related to Turkish tourism with hotel representatives.
The opening speeches of the event were made by Anex Tour General Manager Rashad Bunyadov and the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Kazakhstan, Mustafa Kapucu. Kapucu emphasized that the interest of Kazakh tourists in Turkey continues, and stated that such events contribute to the development of tourism and commercial relations between the two countries. In addition, it was stated that Astana has a central role in terms of access to agencies throughout the region due to its geographical location and being the capital.
Rashad Bunyadov: "We Need to Revitalize the Kazakhstan Market"
Anex Tour General Manager Rashad Bunyadov stated that the interest of the Kazakhstan market in the Turkish destination has decreased in recent years and that they will do their best to revitalize this situation. Bunyadov said, "Kazakhstan and Turkey are connected not only by tourism, but also by different values. Our goal is to strengthen these ties. However, our competition with destinations such as the Far East and Egypt continues. We must overcome this competition by emphasizing the advantages of the Turkish destination, especially the advantages in accommodation and hotel services. In addition, it is very important that the prices in the early booking period are reasonable in destination sales."
Anex Tour officials stated that holding the event in Astana was a strategic decision. It was pointed out that the Turkish destination has been under competitive pressure against markets such as the Far East and Egypt in recent years, and it was emphasized that such promotional activities are of great importance in terms of protecting market share. Stating that Vietnam flights increased by 300 percent compared to last year, officials stated that the Egypt destination similarly showed a growth of 200 percent. It is stated that Turkey has started to lose its advantage in terms of Kazakh tourists. Anex Kazakhstan Workshop Türkiye 2025 is expected to increase interest in Turkey and contribute to promotion.
At the end of the day, the gala party held at Bla Bla Club, one of Astana's most popular venues, with the participation of nearly 400 guests, was the scene of unforgettable moments where networking and entertainment came together.
This event of Anex Tour, which aims to bring Turkish tourism to a stronger position in the Kazakhstan market, also made a significant contribution to the strengthening of cultural and economic ties between Turkey and Kazakhstan. Anex Tour aims to expand similar organizations in the coming years to include markets such as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
