In the first six months of 2025, the number of Russian tourists visiting Muğla, a major tourist center on Turkey's Aegean coast, increased by 2.8% compared to the same period last year, reaching 119,847 people. This increase, which includes popular destinations such as Bodrum, Marmaris, and Fethiye, paints a positive picture for the Russian market in the region.

According to data from the Muğla Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate, 98.7% of Russian tourists arrived in the region by air. Dalaman Airport alone accounted for 61.5% of these arrivals, while Bodrum Airport had a share of 38.5%. These rates almost exactly overlap with those of 2024.

Among the Aegean coastal destinations, Russia ranked second in terms of the number of tourists. The United Kingdom ranked first with 564,806 visitors, followed by Poland with 103,349 tourists.

Visits from Russia to Antalya, on the other hand, experienced a decrease of 2.4% in the first half of the year. Antalya hosted 1,401,789 Russian visitors in the first six months of 2025, while this figure was 1,436,492 in 2024. It was observed that the decrease stemmed particularly from the early months, which are off-season, while a renewed upward trend began in May and June.

It is stated that this trend towards the Aegean coast is supported by the increase in flight programs to the region by tour operators, and it is expected that this interest will continue throughout the season.
