Due to the extreme heat, the Acropolis Temple in Athens, the capital of Greece, has been closed to visitors.

The Greek Ministry of Culture has ordered the partial closure of the Acropolis Temple to protect visitors from the heatwave. In a statement issued by the Ministry, it was noted that the site will be closed between 13.00-17.00 local time 'for the safety of employees and visitors due to high temperatures'.
