BM, İKLİM KRİZİNE KARŞI ACİL ÇAĞRIDA BULUNDU
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for accelerating global action against the climate crisis.
United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that rapid and effective steps should be taken at the global level against the climate crisis, and said, "We have no time to lose."
Making a statement after the high-level climate meeting held at the UN building, Guterres said, “No region is immune to the devastation of accelerating climate disasters. The crisis is deepening poverty, displacing communities and fueling conflict and instability. We cannot, must not and will not give up on climate action.”
Drawing attention to renewable energy, Guterres stated that a concrete roadmap is expected to be presented at the 'COP30 Summit' to be held in Brazil in November on how to provide $1.3 trillion in annual financing for developing countries by 2035.
In addition to leaders from China, the European Union (EU) and various countries affected by climate change, representatives from regional organizations such as the African Union, ASEAN and the Alliance of Small Island States attended the meeting.
