FOODFEST ANTALYA GASTRONOMY FESTIVAL HAS STARTED

The 4th FoodFest Antalya International Gastronomy Festival, organized to promote Antalya's world-famous flavors, has started.

Michelin-starred chefs, gastronomy professionals, and taste enthusiasts come together at the festival, which is organized by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality this year with the theme of "Mediterranean Cuisine". The opening ceremony held in Karaalioğlu Park was attended by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Antalya Deputies, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, district governors, district mayors, NGO representatives, and citizens.

Antalya on the Way to Becoming a Gastronomy Center

In his speech at the opening ceremony, Governor Şahin stated that Antalya is an important center of attraction in the field of gastronomy and said, “Antalya is such a beautiful city that it is possible to harvest even in February. No matter how delicately we process this magnificent city, which has a separate depth with its art, sports, and culture, it is not enough. In addition to the great happiness of living in such a city, we also carry an important responsibility within us. Antalya has become the meeting point of the gastronomy community. Experts and professionals in this field consider Antalya as a meeting point; great chefs come and discuss the future of the sector here. The FoodFest festival, which is being held for the fourth time, makes a significant contribution to Antalya in this sense. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organization of this festival.”
Following the opening speeches, Governor Hulusi Şahin and the protocol members cut the opening ribbon of the festival.
