CHINESE TOURIST LOST ON LYCIAN WAY IS BEING SEARCHED FOR
A search operation has been launched for Chinese national Xu Wenkai (30), who went missing while hiking on the Lycian Way in Faralya Neighborhood, Fethiye district of Muğla.
Relatives of Xu Wenkai, who came to Fethiye from China for a holiday, reported him missing to the 112 Emergency Call Center the day before yesterday. Gendarmerie teams determined that Wenkai had last shared a photo taken between Kabak Bay and Butterfly Valley on his social media account. Teams including the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) Team, AFAD, and non-governmental organizations were assigned to find Xu Wenkai. A total of 43 personnel, 9 vehicles, 1 cadaver dog, and 1 tracking dog also participated in the efforts.
Search efforts for Wenkai are ongoing.
